Complete the preview installation first. These commands use OCX 3 and an OpenCode V2 executable.

1. Create a profile

profile add creates native configuration and OCX metadata in ~/.config/ocx/profiles/work/, or beneath your absolute XDG_CONFIG_HOME. profile use selects it for future launches. It does not select a destination for file-installation commands.

2. Make it yours

Open the profile directory in your editor. Edit opencode.jsonc to add your native model, provider, agent, or MCP settings. OCX leaves the native configuration format to OpenCode. Add an AGENTS.md with your usual working instructions, for example:
Put reusable definitions in agents/, commands/, and skills/. The profile guide shows the complete layout and explains project discovery.

3. Launch from a project

Change to the repository you want to work in, then run:
Configure provider credentials through OpenCode’s native flow if needed. Profiles share those credentials and native session storage. For a one-off selection or a second setup:
Cloning makes an independent copy. Editing personal does not change work.

4. Install a component

The KDCO V2 catalog contains a code-review skill. Once the new worker is deployed, install it into your profile:
During development, use the local catalog instead. From the OCX checkout:
Then run the search, add, and verify commands above. Use either source for the alias; if switching between them, remove the existing source with ocx registry remove kdco --profile work first. If components are already installed from the old URL, use a fresh profile for the other source; changing an alias does not change recorded ownership. A local source must remain available for future updates. Open skills/code-review/SKILL.md in the profile to read or customize it. OCX records ownership and original file hashes in .ocx/receipt.jsonc.

5. Review future updates

If both you and the publisher changed the same file, OCX stops so you can decide what to keep. File ownership and updates explains local edits, forced repairs, and removal.

Share files with a project

To commit installed definitions with a repository, choose a project destination instead:
Use a local or preview URL before public deployment. Files are installed beneath that project’s .opencode/. A profile defaults to ignoring project configuration at startup; set its projectConfig to inherit if you want OpenCode to discover these project definitions when launching that profile. Continue with profile configuration, the command reference, or publishing a registry.
